Welcome to Johnston Canyon

A Rich Heritage Captured in Banff Pictures

As breath-taking as Banff pictures may be, they can never capture the immense vastness, power and serenity one experiences in standing in or driving through its midst. On your journey to Johnston Canyon Resort, your travels along the Bow Valley Parkway will uncover the stunning wonders of nature and, if you are lucky, perhaps several species of Banff wildlife. Whether it is your first time or fiftieth in the Canadian Rockies, you will be impressed by the grandeur and the sanctity of the area. It is not difficult to understand how early pioneers were determined to create legacies and means by which to share the glory…

We are proud to share some treasures of Banff history and the legacy established in 1927 by Marguerite and Walter Camp with the purchase of a log teahouse.

These gems include one of the first menus from the teahouse, family and guest photos, early site pictures and other Rocky Mountain pioneer heritage photos. Fortunately, these old Banff pictures and photos of the Canadian Rockies have been cherished and passed along through the years…

We look forward to capturing new memories in Banff pictures on your next vacation to Johnston Canyon resort! Visit our cabin rentals page or and make a reservation today!
